Study Away Vouchers:
Study Away Voucher I - $500 per individual (Automatic for students who entered MSU between Fall 2009 and Spring 2011)

All Missouri State students who enrolled as first-time college students between fall 2009 and spring 2011 will be eligible to receive a $500 Missouri State University Study Away Voucher. Likewise, MSU-West Plains students who are transferring to the Springfield, campus with an Associate's degree between fall 2009 and spring 2011 are eligible to receive this voucher.
To qualify, first-time college students (who enrolled between fall 2009 and spring 2011) must successfully complete one academic year of full-time enrollment at Missouri State Springfield campus and be in good academic standing. MSU West Plains students transferring to the Springfield campus will have automatically met this requirement upon completion of their Associate's degree. The voucher may be used to help cover the costs of an officially approved study away experience. The voucher may be used for tuition, travel expenses, living expenses, or any other expenses related to the study away program.
Study Away Voucher II – For Students Entering MSU in Fall 2013 who were Board of Governors or University Scholarship Recipients
First-time college students entering Missouri State University in Fall 2013 who received either the Board of Governors Scholarship or the University Scholarship receive a $500 Study Away voucher as part of their award package. No application is necessary. The award will be automatic upon verification of the student's study away participation in an officially approved program. This voucher may be used to help cover the costs of tuition, travel expenses, living expenses, or any other costs related to the study away program.

The Mark Twain Awards for Travel (National/External) - Applications accepted on a rolling basis
Awards range from $500 - $2,500 per individual.
-Any currently enrolled undergraduate student in any major from any university may apply
-All applicants will be considered equally on the merits of their proposed travel regardless of affiliation or memberships.

MSU Student Government Association Leadership Scholarship Information - Due May 1st
Twenty-four $2,000 scholarships for members
-To apply, complete the Student Government Association Leadership Scholarship application and
return it to the office of student financial aid
-Requirements: Student Government Association member must be attending his or her second hear at MSU and have a 2.75 grade point average or higher

Federal Pell Grant - The Pell Grant is a need-based grant. To qualify, you must be a full-time undergraduate student with an Expected Family Contribution (EFC) below the limit determined each year. MSU students speak with Becky Ward in the Office of Financial Aid, 417-836-5262.
Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunities Grant (SEOG grant) -
This need-based grant is awarded to those students demonstrating the greatest financial need. Students typically must qualify for the federal Pell Grant to receive an SEOG Grant. MSU students speak with Becky Ward in the Office of Financial Aid, 417-836-5262.
